Annual Grand Jury Final Reports

The annual Grand Jury Final Report is created by the Civil Grand Jury.  First the jury selects complaints from citizens and whistleblowers.  The complaints may be about city or county agencies and/or  any special districts operating in Alameda county;  such as city councils, planning departments, EBMUD, BART, school districts, water districts, zoning, health services, budgets, contracts, and jails, just to mention a few possibilities.

The results of those investigations are bundled into an final report, which is given to the Superior Court. The report’s findings and recommendations for change requires a response from the entities that have been investigated. The findings and recommendations along with the entities responses are published every year on June 31.
